Enchanting Open Gardens: Explore Corfu's Serene Beauty
Corfu has been called ‘The Garden of the Gods”. It is also known as ‘The Garden Isle” and has an international reputation as one of the most beautiful Greek islands and as a destination for those who love to experience gardens. The Corfu Garden Festival is a celebration of some of these gardens, communities and individuals that help to keep this island a charming place. During the Festival many of the island’s gardens will be opening for one day so you can experience this beauty yourself. Gardens in all their forms and varieties, from some of the large historic estate gardens to productive gardens and farms; from manicured gardens to wild gardens; from private gardens to the opening of new community gardens. You will also have the chance to meet with the people who create and care for these gardens, the people who are inspired to care for the whole ‘garden’ of Corfu, artists who are inspired by nature in all its forms.
A number of walks, workshops and tastings are being held for you to have the opportunity to experience and be inspired by the beauty of Corfu.

Meet the organisers
Rosey Boehm & Christina Lambert
The Corfu Garden Festival originated in 2018 as the Corfu Open Gardens Weekend, taking place in spring and autumn and started by Rachel Weaving and Alithea Johns.
Annie Laughton took over the organising 2021 and now it is organised by Rosey and Christina, two professional gardeners.
Rosey Boehm and Christina Lambert moved to Corfu from central Athens two and a half years ago. They have grown to love the island and work here as estate managers, garden designers and gardeners. They have both been members of the Mediterranean Garden Society for many years and have a lot of experience in organising events for this society as well as helping to organise the Corfu Garden Festival in May 2023 and the one day autumn event in the same year. They both have a real love of plants, gardens and nature and have given a number of talks and presentations to various groups on these subjects.
As the organisers of the 2024 Corfu Garden Festival they hope that as many people as possible will visit and experience the gardens, take part in the events and workshops and share their own enthusiasm for gardens, nature and beauty.
