MarBella Garden Tours

MarBella, Agios Ioannis Peristeron

At MarBella, we highlight the unique harmony between lush greenery and the sparkling blue of the Ionian Sea with gardens that complement the natural landscape.

We have created a sense of place in our landscape, distributing colours and textures to appeal to the senses and frame the magnificent views of the surrounding area. Key design elements:

  • The micro- and macro-climate of the hotels’ location.

  • Sun exposure, soil requirements, and all bioclimatic factors.

  • Lighting and shading of the flower beds, selecting plants based on their resilience.

  • Intentional group planting. Our landscaping doesn’t follow strict lines; we have designed patterns based on plant growth to enhance the visual appeal throughout different times of the year.

As you wander through our gardens, you’ll spot:

  • Fragrant: Rosemary, lavender, white jasmine, Rhynchospermum jasminoides, blue plumbago, perovskia, creeping rosemary, myrtle, evening primrose, murraya, Abelia x grandiflora, and salvia ‘Allen Chickering’.

  • Vibrant colours: lantanas in multiple colours, red and orange Cape honeysuckle, pink and white gauras, hibiscus, salvias in white, blue, and red, Dahlberg daisies, Red Robin, Mexican fleabane, bougainvillea and wisteria vines, salvias, roses, wild yellow daisies, gaura, gazania, bougainvillea nana, Polygala myrtifolia, duranta, coral, everlasting flower, hydrangea, callisteimon, and buttercup bush.

  • Lush greenery: Viburnum lucidum, eucalyptus, holy oak, Jacaranda, silk oak, bay laurel, metrosideros excelsa, olive, pine, lemon, cypress, and pomegranate trees, pittosporum tobira, yucca and nerium oleander.

  • Textures: Cineraria maritima, pennisetum, and stipa tenuissima.
